Family Historians Unite
The Family History Group meet on the first Wednesday of the month from 10am to 12 noon, February to November. Individuals research their family trees in the company of other like minded people, their share tips and ideas to researching family members. We share stories, experiences, discoveries and research tips, and have occasional speakers.
Several members have written books or articles about their families and life in times past, and we have researched and produced a book called “Their Service our Memories” about our military ancestors who took part in any War.
There is more to family history than name collecting. The details of the life and times of our ancestors can be so interesting, just as stories of our lives will be interesting for our children and grandchildren in the future. If you have an interest in family history you are welcome to join us for fellowship and a cuppa.
If you would like to join a group or find out more, contact Bev Cooen 9759 5455 [email protected] or the RAFT Office by email [email protected] or by phone on 9764 2573.
